What Happens During Root Canal Treatment?
A root canal painlessly removes infection from the tooth and restores normal function. First, Dr. Anderson will access the inner chamber of the tooth where the infected pulp is located by creating a window in the top of it. He’ll then clean out the inner chamber and make sure no bacteria linger before refilling and restoring the structure with a biocompatible substance called gutta percha. Finally, our team will top the treated tooth off with a protective dental crown to prevent it from becoming infected again.
